Yoga & Literature
with Liz Smith
From the time we are young, we learn about much of the world through our experiences with books. Much like yoga, great literature helps us discover who we are. We connect deeply to words as we do to the physical postures, breath and meditation on our mats.
This experience will begin with a discussion about the selected text. We will examine the book through a special theme. Following a group literature discussion, you will be led through a series of postures designed for students of all levels to help you reflect more deeply on the discussion and how you can apply the lessons learned from the book into your life both on and off of your mat.
Please come prepared to discuss the book and move through a gentle yoga practice.
It is recommended that you bring a copy of the book, something to write with and come dressed comfortably. Discussion questions will be made available online prior to each session. Hard copies will be provided on the day of the workshop as well.
All levels welcome!
