Tips to Prepare for Class
The studio will open 15 minutes before class starts. Please be on time to class; the studio doors will lock once the class begins. Arriving late disrupts the class, so please allow extra time to get here.
Arrive 10-15 minutes before class to check-in and get your mat and props ready. Two restrooms are available in the studio if you need to change clothes. The first few minutes of class will be spent getting quiet and centered.
Please maintain quiet in the main practice space while preparing for class. This allows students to center and set their intention for class. If necessary ask the instructor to remind students to maintain quiet.
Please take off your shoes before entering the main yoga space. It keeps the space clean, especially in harsh weather.
Refrain from using perfumes or heavy scents.
Turn off your cell phone prior to class.
Before class starts, inform the teacher if you have any health issues, injuries, recent surgeries, spinal conditions, or have any condition that needs to be monitored, such as glaucoma or high blood pressure. Please tell us if you are pregnant– we want to keep you and your baby safe.
Bring your own mat if possible, however we do have a few mats available for loan. We encourage you to purchase your own since having your own mat is more sanitary.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move. Layers are best, as your body temperature changes throughout your practice. Be prepared to work in bare feet. If you have long hair you may want to tie it back. Bring a hand towel if you sweat excessively.
Avoid practicing with a full stomach.
Street parking is available or you may park in the back of the CVS parking lot with our parking permit placed in your window. Parking permits are available via the website or at the yoga studio.
You may purchase your classes in the studio or online. Registration is not required for ongoing weekly classes. You may ‘SIGN UP’ on our class schedule to let the instructor know that you plan on attending a class.
