Activating the Divine Feminine Gong Bath

As human beings, we all embody both feminine and masculine energies. In fact, we are combinations of many polarities feminine/masculine, light/shadow, weaknesses/strengths, etc.
Connecting to and honoring the Divine Feminine is connecting to oneself, regardless of whether we inhabit a female or male body. And through this connecting, we also join with and activate our connection to Gaia (Mother Earth), the Divine Mother (all creation), and the very energy of mothering, giving birth, and nurturing. The Divine Feminine inspires our creativity, dreams, life path, and our constant renewal of how we express or birth ourselves over and over, as we move through our lives.
Our culture today is very Yang (masculine) focused very active, fiery, and over-stimulated Yang in fact. Doing, doing, doing, giving, moving, a lot of energy expended in outward patterns. Balancing this with the Divine Feminine can mean slowing down, focusing inwardly, taking better care of oneself, opening to receiving more and perhaps giving less (if thats out of balance in your life.) If we are not in the right relationship with our feminine energy, or in a disconnected relationship with this feminine aspect of our self then we may be less whole and not fully expressing ourselves.
Because our feminine energy has a lot to do with receiving, we may unknowingly be blocking that which is ready to come to us simply by being in disharmony with the Divine Feminine.
This Gong Bath with the Earth Gong, played by a woman, embodying the intention of activating the Divine Feminine, offers you an opportunity to meditate on, explore, discover, and activate your own relationship with this all-important feminine aspect of yourself. Or of course you can just come to get gonged too!
Meanwhile, here are a few practices for you to connect more deeply with the Divine Feminine on your own.
1. Stand barefooted on Mother Earth (called Earthing)
2. Tune into the lunar cycle
3. Detach from electronics as much as possible (turn off your phone at night, etc.)
4. Slow down
5. Practice radical self-care
6. Celebrate beauty!
7. Construct altars
If you will be laying on the floor, please bring a mat, pillows, blanket (all of these?) for comfort. It is also to your benefit to NOT eat within 2 hours before receiving this type of sound. Like any form of energywork, you will be more comfortable if your body isn’t working hard to digest food. Another suggestion is to avoid alcohol before any type of energywork, and drink plenty of water. Eating and drinking afterwards is fine.
