Jackie has always been an explorer of the physical body. With a college degree in dance, it was only natural to begin a deeper investigation of her yoga practice. Yoga helps her see the light and the positive in our world. She likes to think of each practice as a dance, a physical exploration of the body with the breath being the choreographer, guiding you through the postures and creating space for internal growth. Each time we come to our mat, it’s an opportunity to deepen the most important relationship we have, the relationship we have with ourselves. Her yoga training began as a work study student at OM on the Range Yoga studio, studying Baptiste Vinyasa and Bikram. After several years of practice and attendance at many yoga festivals, she became a 200-hr certified yoga instructor through Yogaview in Chicago. She continues to be influenced by instructors at Yogaview: Tom Quinn, Claire Mark, Geri Bleier, and Wade Gotwals. She has been teaching children’s and adult yoga classes to individuals with varied experience since 2011. She encourages you to join her class to experience a total body practice that builds strength and flexibility through deep concentration of building a breath-body connection. She continues to be grateful for everyday, enjoying the daily delights of being a new mom.
