In 2007, Kenya sought out yoga to quiet the noise in her mind. The first class Kenya attended, at a local gym, could not hold her attention. It wasn’t until she began working at a gym part-time did she take another yoga class and something just clicked. Kenya found a quiet space within her day when she attended yoga class. She noticed that not only was yoga a great physical exercise but it was a great mental and spiritual exercise, something she did not expect. This feeling is something she wanted to share with others. In the Summer of 2009, Kenya completed her 200 hour teacher training program at Corepower Yoga. In 2011, Kenya completed a 200 hour teacher training program with Pure Yoga under Allison English and Jim Kulackoski. Kenya is currently completing her 500 hour yoga teaching training through Darshan Center of Vedic Studies with Jim Kulackoski. Kenya focuses on alignment in her classes to create a safe space for her students to explore the postures and truly enjoy their yoga practice.
