Margaret has been practicing yoga since 2005. She was inspired by quickly seeing the amazing results that it had on the body, mind and spirit. In 2016, she earned her 200-hour certification from Prairie Yoga, through the Beverly Yoga Center, and is currently seeking her 500-hour certification through Prairie Yoga in Lisle. Margaret is a Reiki Master, a certified instructor for Yoga for Healthy Aging with Baxter Bell and Melina Meza, and has completed training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), a program created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Margaret’s classes reflect an influence of mindfulness, pranayama (breath awareness), and meditation to help students tune into their own healing needs, creating more balance and harmony in their lives. Her intention to live each day in awareness from a level of higher consciousness has become a life-long and purposeful journey.
