Yoga for Men
Flexibility is NOT a requirement to do yoga. Tight, tense and stiff bodies are welcome.
We realize that yoga can be intimidating for men and it is often confusing where to start.
Yoga and meditation offer tremendous benefits for men. These practices relieve stress, improve sleep, increase flexibility, relieve many common aches and pains, restore energy and balance and help focus the mind.
There are many ways to start yoga and mediation depending on what environment makes you feel most comfortable. Classes tend to have more women then men, but there is no need to feel intimidated or nervous. We are all very friendly and welcoming.
If you are athletic and like to jump right in then our flow classes are a great way to start. However, if your body is especially tight and you are looking to stretch the body slowly then our mindful, gentle and slow flow classeswould be the best option.
Our restorative classesare meant to simply relax you with the support of comfortable props and minimal movement which are wonderful ways to completely decompress.
If you like a more systematic approach to learning yoga, then you may want to try our intro to yoga 4 week sessions. They are on Saturdays and run consecutively four four weeks.
